Genesis 12:1 – The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your native country…and go to the land that I will show you.”
Earlier this Spring, our church, Living Water Fellowship, asked Joseph and me to consider and see if the Lord was leading us to move from Texas to Colorado to pastor a church plant in Denver.
After much prayer and counsel, we sensed the Lord was opening this door for us to walk through, so we began the long process of preparing our house for a new owner and packing all of our belongings.
Joseph did an amazing job making the old house beautiful again. I was impressed by his determination to tackle even the most difficult tasks…
…including fixing the stucco and repainting the entire house.
Home, Sweet Home!
Peter adores watching his daddy work and insists on getting right in the action to offer his help.
Once the house was finished, we began packing. Peter was so excited to help us sort and re-pack daddy’s chalk.
The bathtub had to be cleaned again once he finished his bath!
Packing, unpacking, packing and unpacking the same box can wear a little guy out, but Peter made a valiant effort to help me in the kitchen.
We loaded up the van and took off. Before we had left Texas, we had someone make an offer on our house. God is amazing!
Moving from Texas to Colorado has grown our faith, but there is nothing as beautiful as stepping out in obedience and seeing God work on your behalf.
