The Living Word of God: Part One

the Word of God in GermanI am so grateful for the Word of God!  I also get very excited about the concept that Jesus is the Word made flesh- He is the Living Word of God.

In the 1980’s when I first tried to read the Bible I read it in German.  At that time I could not understand what I read, but I hoped that somehow by associating with the Scriptures I would become more Holy.  It was not until later when I surrendered my life to Jesus- the Word made flesh, that the Bible started coming alive for me.

In this video I talk about some of the Bibles I own and how blessed I am to own more than one Bible. I also challenge all of us to help make Bibles available to fellow Believers in other countries who are suffering persecution. In the future I will share more of my thoughts about the Word of God and what a treasure it is to us.

This is part one of my thoughts about the Bible.

Hebrews 4
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
(NKJV)

1 Peter 2
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(NKJV)
